About The Position

DePuy Synthes Sports Medicine is recruiting for a Trade Manager to be in West Chester, PA or Raynham, MA, or hybrid/remote. Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Our Orthopaedics teams help keep more than 6 million people moving each year while delivering clinical and economic value to surgeons and healthcare systems. Our teams build solutions for joint reconstruction; trauma and craniomaxillofacial; sports, extremities, and elective foot and ankle; spine, robotics and digital surgery. On October 14, 2025, Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. It is anticipated following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by Orthopaedics employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Details of any planned changes would be provided to you by Orthopaedics at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. The Trade Manager, Early Intervention (EI) is responsible for managing and growing distributor relationships within the United States. This role oversees distributor performance metrics, customer conversion initiatives, commercial contracting, pricing strategies, and channel optimization to drive revenue growth and market expansion for the company’s medical device portfolio. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with relationship management expertise and a deep understanding of medical device distribution channels, compliance requirements, and commercial operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical,channel management, trade, or distributor operations.
  • Experience managing distributor networks in healthcare or medical device industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contracting, pricing, and sales performance analytics.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and medical device regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in CRM systems, Excel, and business analytics tools.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience with international distribution channels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated success driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with distributors, channel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for distributor performance, operational issues, and negotiations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to evaluate sales performance, pipeline development, and market opportunities.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and train new distributors in targeted territories.
  • Ensure distributor compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze distributor KPIs including: Revenue growth, Sales targets, Inventory levels, Forecast accuracy, Customer acquisition and retention, Conversion rates, and Margin performance
  • Develops dashboards and reporting tools to track commercial effectiveness.
  • Identify underperforming markets and implement corrective action plans.
  • Partner with finance and sales operations teams on forecasting and demand planning.
  • Support distributors in converting prospective customers into active accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and field to execute lead-generation and customer engagement strategies.
  • Analyze sales funnel performance and recommend initiatives to improve customer conversion rates.
  • Support product launches, market penetration initiatives, and promotional campaigns.
  • Lead negotiation and administration of distributor agreements and commercial terms.
  • Coordinate contract renewals and amendments in partnership with legal, finance and pricing teams.
  • Ensure contracts comply with healthcare industry regulations and internal governance standards.
  • Manage pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, regulatory, supply chain, finance, pricing team and customer service teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to support strategic planning.
  • Assist in annual business planning and territory strategy development
