About The Position

We are a boutique Early Intervention agency in Flushing Queens, currently looking for a passionate and experienced Case Manager to join our dedicated team. An early intervention agency provides support and services to infants and young children who may have developmental delays or disabilities. These agencies aim to identify and address potential challenges early on, helping children reach their developmental milestones and improve their overall quality of life. Services may include therapy, education, and guidance for both the child and their family. The agency collaborates with parents, caregivers, and professionals to create an individualized plan tailored to the child's needs. Early intervention can have a significant positive impact on a child's future growth and development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with EI-Hub, or a similar platform, or with data entry
  • Strong organizational, technical, computer, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow through on tasks and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a caseload of children receiving Early Intervention (EI) services
  • Ensure compliance with all children files so that they meet Bureau of Childcare (BCC) and Bureau of Early Intervention (BEI) regulations to avoid violations and fines, and ensure each child is working toward their Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
  • Promote best business practices to prevent the incorrect payment of billable services, reduce costs related to audit citations, and prevent the return of erroneously billed or documented cases
  • Run reports in digital software for Progress Reports, Gaps in Service, and other deliverables
  • Request files from Service Coordinators, Parents, and Providers for children's case files
  • Obtain paperwork using email, fax, and in-person meetings
  • File paperwork in digital files, and upload into the New York Early Intervention System (EI-Hub)
  • Communicate with families about services and provide in-person tours
  • Explain procedures and expectations to families
  • Effectively manage deadlines for age-outs, closures, prescriptions, and medicals
  • Assist the Early Intervention Team with administrative duties such as bussing, reception, and other office
