About The Position

Tradewin is an international trade compliance consulting firm that helps companies comply with import and export laws and regulations while minimizing duty payments where possible. Its services include HTS classification, duty drawback, reconciliation, compliance assessments, duty recovery, and C-TPAT and supply-chain security implementation.

A Trade Analyst / Consultant may perform a variety of trade-compliance functions, including classifying imported and exported products, researching Customs rulings, communicating with clients, and maintaining internal and external relationships. This is an in-office position. Most positions follow a standard 8 AM–5 PM schedule, with opportunities to provide weekend and holiday coverage for certain functions; compensation incentives are available for working non-standard hours.

Requirements

• Demonstrated customer service skills and proven interpersonal skills.
• Interest in obtaining a Brokerage License, if not already held.
• Competent PC skills, including all Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfort reviewing, analyzing, and manipulating data in Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to logically document and explain processes.
• Investigative and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Power BI, MS Access, or SharePoint experience desired.
• Brokerage License, if already held.

Responsibilities

• Render Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications for imported products.
• Classify exported products under Schedule B.
• Research and interpret Customs rulings to determine HTS classifications.
• Use reference sources such as the HTSUS schedule and Explanatory Notes.
• Communicate with domestic and international client offices.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
• Perform other trade-related activities as assigned.
