About The Position

Tradewin is an international trade compliance consulting firm that helps companies comply with import and export laws and regulations while identifying opportunities to reduce duties, costs, and supply-chain delays. Its services include tariff classification, duty drawback, reconciliation, compliance assessments, duty recovery, and supply-chain security implementation.

A Trade Analyst / Consultant may perform a variety of trade-compliance functions, including classifying imported and exported products, researching and interpreting Customs rulings, using trade-reference materials, and communicating with client offices domestically and internationally. The position is in office. Most positions follow a standard 8 AM–5 PM schedule, although some functions may offer weekend or holiday coverage with compensation incentives for working non-standard hours.

Requirements

• Demonstrated customer-service skills and proven interpersonal skills.
• Competent PC skills, including all Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfort reviewing, analyzing, and manipulating data in Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to logically document and explain processes.
• Investigative and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Interest in obtaining a Brokerage License, if not already held.
• Experience with Power BI, MS Access, or SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Render Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications for imported products.
• Classify exported products under Schedule B.
• Research and interpret Customs rulings to determine HTS classifications.
• Use reference sources such as the HTSUS schedule and Explanatory Notes.
• Communicate with domestic and international client offices.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
• Perform other trade-related activities as assigned.
