About The Position
PAM Transport is seeking motivated tractor/trailer mechanics, from beginners to experienced technicians and leaders, to help keep freight moving. Technicians perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers, including accident damage repairs, welding, trailer panel and sheet metal replacement, and flooring repairs. They also document and maintain equipment records. This is a full-time, in-person position scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Pay is $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- At least one year of trailer or mechanical experience.
- Ability to repair trailer brake systems and axles.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Own basic tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform accident damage repairs and preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers.
- Perform aluminum and steel welding.
- Perform various maintenance and repair tasks on trucks and trailers.
- Properly document and maintain equipment records.
- Replace trailer panels and sheet metal.
- Repair wood and metal flooring in trailers.
