Track & Field Lower-Level Distance Coach
About The Position
Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange, has an immediate opening for a Track & Field Lower-Level Distance Coach. The coach will manage the program in alignment with and dedicated to the mission of Catholic education, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, and rooted in the school’s core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love. The ideal candidate will provide sound leadership in the track and field program, conduct competitive daily practices, model leadership behavior consistent with the Catholic Church, build healthy relationships with student-athletes, and clearly communicate expectations to student-athletes, parents, and the Varsity Head Coach. The position runs from January 20, 2027, through April 30, 2027. The stipend is $3,000–$5,000, based on experience.
Requirements
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification.
- NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification.
- NFHS Concussion in Sports certification.
- NFHS Heat Illness Prevention certification.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Previous direct coaching experience preferred.
