Assistant Track & Field Coach
About The Position
The Buckley School is seeking a qualified Assistant Coach for its coed Track & Field program. Practices are held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, three days per week, with 6–10 meets in addition to practices. Some weekend invitationals are included. Compensation is $3,900–$5,845 for the in-season period, depending on experience. If coaching is needed during the pre-season, the rate is $38.09 per hour. The Buckley School is an independent, gender-inclusive day school serving students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its educational program emphasizes critical thinking, creative self-expression through the arts, physical development, and moral education. Requirements
- Previous coaching or competitive track and field experience at the collegiate level.
- Demonstrated competency in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience coaching teams.
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor.
- Enthusiasm for the sport.
Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing the program and practices.
- Schedule meets.
- Scout opponents or competitors.
- Oversee individual and team conditioning workouts.
- Compile statistics.
- Administer basic first aid.
- Perform other duties as required.
