About The Position

The Charleston, West Virginia office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Toxic Tort & Environmental Practice. The ideal candidate has strong research and writing skills and experience with toxic tort and environmental litigation. The firm is also interested in talented attorneys with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in toxic tort and environmental law, including those developing experience in this area.

The practice represents clients in state, federal, and administrative hearings and trials, including Superfund multi-site litigation and coordinated Federal Multi-District Litigation. Its clients include generators, landowners, municipalities, site operators, individuals, partnerships, closely held corporations, Fortune 500 companies, governmental agencies, manufacturing and real estate development companies, and domestic and foreign insurance carriers. The firm is also frequently selected as National Counsel in mass tort and products liability litigation.

Requirements

• Strong research and writing skills.
• One to fifteen years of experience in all phases of toxic tort and environmental litigation, including case management, motion practice, discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Admission to the West Virginia Bar is required.
• Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in toxic tort and environmental law.
