About The Position

Copart is seeking a skilled and dedicated Class A or B tow truck driver to transport vehicles—mostly damaged—from repair shops, tow yards, and private residences to local Copart facilities. Drivers may also travel nationwide to support catastrophe response operations, including hurricanes, flooding, and other natural disasters, as well as assist other Copart locations. The role uses piece-rate-based pay, with the opportunity for top performers to earn more than $100,000 annually. The posting also lists pay of $24.60 per hour and potential annual earnings of $75,000 or more. Previous towing experience is preferred; Copart will provide training in other aspects of the job. The position requires national travel, sometimes by airplane, and may involve extended periods away, short-notice deployments, long workdays, and work in extreme weather and terrain.

Requirements

• Possess a Class A or Class B driver's license issued by the state of residence.
• Meet background screening criteria.
• Be able to travel, including by airplane, and travel with 24 hours' notice or less.
• Be willing to work long hours, including 12 or more hours per day when needed.
• Be able to work in extreme conditions, weather, and terrain.

Nice To Haves

• Previous towing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationally on short notice for extended periods.
• Deploy to catastrophe events within 24 hours when directed.
• Pick up and deliver vehicles to designated Copart facilities.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and without damage.
• Operate company equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain Hours of Service logs.
• Maintain and ensure the good operating condition of equipment and facilities.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety, productivity, and professionalism.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the manager in support of daily operations.
