TOUR Ambassador

OSU Oregon State University•Corvallis, OR

About The Position

Oregon State University’s Office of Admissions hires currently enrolled undergraduate students as paid TOUR (Team of Undergraduate Recruiters) Ambassadors. Ambassadors are often the first point of contact for prospective students and families and help create a welcoming campus-visit experience for visitors from a wide range of backgrounds. The Welcome Center serves nearly 34,000 visitors each year. Ambassadors lead campus and housing tours, virtual tours, student panels, group visits, and recruitment events. They share information about OSU’s academic programs, campuses, and student support resources, as well as their own experiences, to help prospective students make admissions decisions. They also support Welcome Center operations by answering calls and emails, greeting and checking in visitors, and maintaining visitor spaces. Programs are conducted in person and virtually, with possible opportunities to support off-campus and multicultural-focused recruitment events. The position offers a flexible schedule intended to support academic priorities. Student employees typically work 4–20 hours per week; the recruitment is for part-time positions capped at 24 hours per week. Paid training is provided on an ongoing basis and is required.
