About The Position

At Imperial, a distributor and service provider of general merchandise, seasonal products, and health, beauty, and wellness products, the Tote Inductor prepares trays and boxes, labels and moves pallets, and handles totes on rollers. The role also maintains clean and orderly induction and surge areas, including cleaning and drying trays, removing trash, and performing other related duties as assigned. Warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills, including using a login and password and following simple instructions.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and number series.
• Ability to speak and understand simple English.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide by tens and hundreds.
• Punctual, team-oriented, committed to safety, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Some warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Check the surge area for trays.
• Make trays and boxes.
• Move pallets of totes or boxes.
• Remove old labels and add new labels.
• Place totes on extended rollers and push them one at a time.
• Keep wet trays upside down in the designated area.
• Clean and dry wet trays and clean crumb trays.
• Keep the induction area clean.
• Empty trash in the surge area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
