About The Position
CompX National is hiring Toolmakers / Precision Machinists for our Mauldin, SC location. Join our team and enjoy excellent benefits while contributing to the building and repair of tooling and dies, operating various tool room equipment, and fabricating essential components.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
- 5+ years of tool room experience
- Strong understanding of safety, operations, and maintenance documents and procedures
- Working knowledge of machine troubleshooting
- Significant attention to detail
- Solid analytical skills
- Willingness to take initiative
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field
- 3+ years of experience in toolmaking
- CNC Machining/Programming experience
Responsibilities
- Build and repair tooling and dies.
- Operate tool room equipment including wire EDM and CNC vertical, Haas mill, Bridgeport mill, grinders, etc.
- Build fixtures, tooling, machine parts, etc., and form prints via reverse engineering.
- Fabricate jigs, tools, dies, and master tooling.
- Build prototype parts for Engineering.
- Operate Mastercam software.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
