About The Position

We are seeking a Tooling Technician to support injection operations during the weekend shift. This role is responsible for ensuring tooling is clean, functional, and production-ready to minimize downtime and maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency in resolving production issues.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of injection press operations (wax injection a plus)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift and handle tooling and materials safely
  • Standing for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to remain focused in a physically active environment
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly to tooling and production issues to minimize downtime
  • Assist with die setups, changeovers, and production readiness
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare tooling during production stoppages
  • Identify, tag, and document tooling requiring repair or maintenance
  • Communicate issues with supervisors, leads, and engineering teams
  • Support operators with tooling maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Inspect parts for quality and ensure compliance with standards
  • Maintain 6S organization and safety standards in the work area
  • Track tooling activity using Gage Track system
  • Disassemble, clean, troubleshoot, and reassemble dies with minor repairs
