Tooling Machinist - Level 2 - 1st Shift

PCC Talent Acquisition Portal•Irvine, CA

About The Position

Without supervision, Level 2 Tooling Machinists create tooling of all levels of complexity, either to print or from scratch. The role requires advanced competencies in machine setup, shop math, print reading, material properties, tool geometries, and use of complex measuring tools for mechanical inspection. Tooling Machinists also assist and train lower-level operators and support the shop by producing one-off components as needed. The position involves independently setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment, interpreting complex engineering documentation, performing precise machining and inspection, and troubleshooting manufacturing challenges. The machinist collaborates with engineering, quality, and production teams while supporting safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The stated schedule is 1st shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
