About The Position

Shively Bros is hiring a Tooling Presetter to support the team by ensuring materials are available and ready for use so the production schedule can be met and work can continue flowing. The role includes preparing and cleaning tooling, using hand tools and measuring devices, communicating test results and billing-system information, assisting with tool-setup-related manufacturing problems, and occasionally operating machine-shop equipment. Experience with hand and power tools, automobile maintenance, or home repairs is helpful.

Requirements

Possess a valid driver’s license.
Be able to follow tasks and instruction sheets, work with little to no supervision, multitask, and focus on details.
Be collaborative, work well with others, and exhibit teamwork.
Have necessary mechanical skills and an understanding of how to use tools.
Be able to stand, walk, and repeatedly lift for extended periods.
Comply with safety guidelines, including wearing proper PPE, safely handling materials, tools, and chemicals, and promptly reporting unsafe work conditions or equipment.
Successfully pass the required pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience working with hand tools, power tools, automobile maintenance, or home repairs.

Responsibilities

Review the daily schedule and ensure all materials are available and ready for use.
Clean and prepare used tooling.
Use simple hand tools, such as screwdrivers and wrenches, and tool-measuring devices, including hand and computer-system gages.
Input and communicate test results and billing-system information.
Provide input to help solve manufacturing problems or issues relating to tool setup.
Operate machine-shop equipment, including saws, sanders, a sandblaster, and a polisher, when necessary.
