About The Position

Shively Bros is hiring a Tooling Presetter to support the team by ensuring materials are ready for production, helping keep work flowing, and supporting the production schedule. The role involves cleaning and preparing used tooling, using hand tools and measuring devices, recording and communicating test results and billing information, and providing input on manufacturing issues related to tool setup. The employee may occasionally operate machine shop equipment as needed. Employees are eligible for benefits and the opportunity to become an Employee Owner. Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Be able to follow tasks and instruction sheets, work with little to no supervision, multitask, and focus on details.
• Be collaborative, work well with others, and exhibit teamwork.
• Possess necessary mechanical skills and understand how to use tools.
• Be able to stand, walk, and repeatedly lift for extended periods.
• Successfully pass the required pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, automobile maintenance, and home repairs is helpful.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the daily schedule and ensure all materials are available and ready for use.
• Clean and prepare used tooling.
• Operate simple hand tools, such as screwdrivers and wrenches, and tool-measuring devices, including hand and computer system gages.
• Input and communicate test results and billing system information.
• Provide input to help solve manufacturing problems or issues relating to tool setup.
• Operate machine shop equipment, such as saws, sanders, a sandblaster, and a polisher, when necessary.
• Follow safety guidelines, wear proper PPE, handle materials, tools, and chemicals safely, and promptly report unsafe work conditions or equipment.
