About The Position

1Resource Group is seeking Tool Attendants for a project in Homer City, PA. This project-based role involves issuing and receiving toolroom inventory daily, enforcing strict control over inventory and tool condition, and managing inventory, tracking, and distribution of tools/equipment. The goal is to meet project objectives, inventory control measures, and customer service goals. The assigned U.S. site location will be determined based on project awards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0-4 years of general warehouse experience, preferably in a tool room setting.
  • Strong mathematical abilities/aptitude and analysis skills.
  • Broad/well-rounded knowledge of construction tools and consumables.
  • Exceptionally organized.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Possess a sense of urgency.
  • A passion for quality.
  • High level of communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries at all levels.
  • Computer literate and moderately to proficient with Excel.
  • Excellent time management skills/abilities while being results-oriented with a strong attention to detail/follow-up.

  • Prior inventory control experience/responsibility.
  • Experience performing minor/basic repairs to tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Issuing and receiving toolroom items daily.
  • Performing daily visual inspections of all issued items for correct color code and damage.
  • Completing a daily list of items needed to properly stock the toolroom.
  • Storing, removing, loading, and unloading all types of materials from storage bins, pallets, and/or vehicles.
  • Operating manual or mechanical material handling devices and stocking inventory shelves.
  • Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Assorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences (e.g., size, type, style, color).
  • Moving materials and supplies in preparation for delivery.
  • Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items using an RF scan gun.
  • Recording material items received or distributed.
  • Maintaining inventory records and completing daily cycle counts.
  • Performing basic/routine repairs to tools/equipment.
  • Following all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
  • Observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
  • Establishing a positive working relationship with internal/external customers.
  • Maintaining daily and open communication with management.
  • Performing routine housekeeping tasks to maintain the work area in a clean and organized condition.
  • Completing job responsibilities in a timely manner, maintaining maximum productivity.
  • Being punctual and reliable.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
