Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Tool and Gauge Inspector – Level 2 to join our team in Promontory, UT. The schedule for this role is Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 12 hour shift.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 12 hour shift
Interpret drawings and specifications.
Excellent working knowledge and understanding of GD&T and ANSI Y14.5.
Perform certification review on supplier documentation and issue Authorization to Ship (ATS).
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb up ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Familiar with standard Mechanical Inspection techniques and tools.
Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
Experience with Continuous Improvement/PES techniques.
Good computer skills - MS Office, Costpoint, QMIS, ePic, Nautilus.
Operate a CMM Using the PCDMIS Software.
Familiarity with portable inspection equipment including laser trackers.
Self-Starter and ability to work through an issue to closure
Operate a forklift and crane.

Responsibilities

Perform Quality Process Assessments
Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on tightly tolerance piece parts, subassemblies and final assemblies in the Receiving Quality Control area.
Perform tool inspections on various programs
Performs required inspections in accordance with procedures and planning documentation.
Performs required inspections using standard measurement instruments.
