About The Position

A fast-growing metal stamping company that makes precision automotive parts is seeking experienced Tool & Die Makers to build and maintain tooling for new product launches. The role involves working with stamping dies, addressing die issues on the shop floor, performing maintenance and precision work, and collaborating with other departments to prepare dies for production and improve processes. Applicants must have tool and die experience in the automotive OEM or Tier 1 environment. Sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• High school diploma and strong hands-on experience.
• Five to seven years of experience working with dies, particularly setting up and repairing them.
• Experience with large stamping presses and complex tooling.
• Tool and die experience in the automotive OEM or Tier 1 environment.
• Good understanding of tool steels, coatings, and heat treating.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings, with knowledge of GD&T.
• Journeyman certification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair metal stamping dies, including progressive, transfer, and deep-draw dies.
• Work with other departments to prepare dies for production.
• Quickly troubleshoot die problems on the shop floor.
• Work with Stage/Form, Compound, and Progressive tooling.
• Perform routine maintenance and precision work on dies.
• Help improve processes and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to maintain high standards.
