About The Position
MAT Industries, Inc. is hiring a Tool & Die Maker for its Jackson, Tennessee facility. The role performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications to stamping and forming equipment. It works with production and maintenance personnel, manufacturing engineers, management, and outside contractors, and reports to the Tool Room Supervisor. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Full-time employees work a 40-hour week; additional hours or flexible hours may sometimes be needed to complete tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on progressive and single-stroke metal stamping dies.
- Troubleshoot issues with stamping and forming equipment, including stamping dies, presses, and benders.
- Provide feedback on adjustments to die preventive-maintenance plans to reduce downtime and improve part quality.
- Perform general machine-shop work using conventional mills, lathes, surface grinders, and similar equipment.
- Assist in developing new stamping dies and modifying existing dies to extend their life and improve part quality.
- Submit purchase requisitions for parts and components needed for die repair and maintenance.
- Identify critical parts and recommend spare components for inventory.
