About The Position

The Tool & Die Engineer is responsible for developing press tooling design, techniques, procedures, fixtures and applications to produce high quality parts as cost effectively as possible. Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Tool & Die Engineer required
  • Ability to stop production and/or prevent the shipment of nonconforming or potentially nonconforming products to customers.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency, including the ability to learn and use business and engineering software applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts, including probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to define problems, gather and analyze data, establish facts and draw sound conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical instructions, engineering drawings, diagrams and mathematical information to solve technical problems.
  • Associate Degree in Tool and Die Technology or related field required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years in a leadership role preferred
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software preferred, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam and KeyCreator.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive spare parts lists for inclusion in tooling quotations and technical manuals.
  • Evaluate current methods and procedures and recommend process improvements within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Oversee assigned staff, providing guidance and support in resolving routine work-related issues.
  • Partner with Human Resources to interview candidates and make hiring recommendations.
  • Provide leadership, supervise, coordinate and review the work of assigned team members.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Review engineering drawings and blueprints to verify accurate spare parts identification prior to release.
  • Review spare parts requirements with the Engineering team to support equipment servicing, including spare parts coding.
  • Apply organizational policies and ensure compliance with departmental procedures.
  • Coordinate spare parts orders and assist in identifying replacement parts.
