About The Position
Tool & Die Technicians maintain and sharpen die blocks, die components, and tooling used in the production process. They use manual and CNC equipment and tool room machinery regularly, and work in production areas outside the Tool Room to troubleshoot dies and tooling in presses. Fisher Barton is constantly adding new technologies to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
Requirements
- Basic Math skills
- Basic computer skills
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with stamping dies of all types
- Tool Room Work experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
- Maintain stamping dies of all types, die components and production tooling, and learn troubleshooting dies in the press
- Adjust dies and tooling components
- Maintain production tooling within quality standards
- Communicate effectively with operators, set-up personnel, and supervisors on all three shifts regarding tooling requirements, and die and equipment status
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area
- Demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints and safely operate tool room machinery
- Have a positive attitude and ability to work with production personnel in troubleshooting die and suggest modifications to improve performance
