About The Position

The Tool Crib Specialist supports machining production at the Fulton Plant by keeping tools maintained, organized, inventoried, and readily available. The role works closely with machinists and supervisors to prepare tooling and paperwork for NC and manual machining jobs, anticipate production needs, and help prevent delays. The specialist also tracks inventory and orders in AS400/MAPICS and helps source new tools, vendors, and pricing.

Requirements

• Hands-on and mechanically inclined, with willingness to perform practical shop work.
• Self-motivated and able to identify needed work without being told.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Set up tools and paperwork for NC and manual machining jobs.
• Inspect, sharpen, and maintain tools returned from the production floor.
• Keep the Tool Crib clean, organized, and easy to navigate.
• Issue the correct tools to employees quickly and accurately.
• Keep new and reconditioned tools stocked and ready.
• Track tools, inventory, and orders using AS400/MAPICS.
• Help bring in new tools and identify vendors and pricing.
• Coordinate with machinists and supervisors to stay ahead of production needs.
• Keep tooling stocked and ready within 12 hours of receiving it.
• Reorder and replenish inventory using standard procedures and systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Work from job lists and coordinate directly with supervisors.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it operates safely.
