About The Position
Chesterbrook Academy Preschool is seeking an energetic, nurturing Toddler Teacher Assistant to support its early childhood education team. The toddler program encourages curiosity, confidence, and child development through discovery and play. The assistant helps create a safe, engaging classroom where children can explore, build independence, and develop essential early learning skills. The role works collaboratively with co-teachers, school leaders, and families to provide a positive learning experience. The position requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities. It involves frequent movement and classroom activities, including walking, standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, reaching, kneeling, rising from the floor, twisting, listening, reading, writing, and speaking English. Carrying, lifting, repetitive or fine hand movements are often required; pushing, pulling, and bending are occasionally required. Regular hearing and clear vision, with or without correction, are also required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.
- Passion for early learning, creativity, and helping children discover new skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
