About The Position

The Learning Experience - Beltline is seeking an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to create a structured, engaging classroom for toddlers. This role involves leading daily activities, implementing The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum, and fostering children's communication, independence, and social-emotional development. The teacher will also support daily care routines, observe and document progress, guide assistant teachers, build relationships with families, and maintain a safe and organized classroom, adhering to Michigan licensing and center requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required
Toddler experience strongly preferred
CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred
Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills

Responsibilities

Lead daily classroom activities and routines
Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Create engaging experiences through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, and language
Encourage communication, independence, and social-emotional development
Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and transitions
Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
Observe and document children's developmental progress
Guide and support Assistant Teachers
Build positive relationships with children and families
Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements
