About The Position

The Learning Experience - Beltline is seeking an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher who can create a structured, engaging classroom while giving young children the encouragement and consistency they need to thrive. The toddler years are filled with first words, new friendships, growing independence, and plenty of exploration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required
• Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills

Nice To Haves

• Toddler experience strongly preferred
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities and routines
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Create engaging experiences through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, and language
• Encourage communication, independence, and social-emotional development
• Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and transitions
• Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
• Observe and document children's developmental progress
• Guide and support Assistant Teachers
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements
