About The Position

The Malvern School is seeking a career-oriented Lead Teacher for the Toddler classroom at its Westtown location. This full-time role is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The teacher plans, supervises, and implements an early childhood education program in accordance with school policies and The Malvern School philosophy, maintains a safe, healthy, and educational classroom environment, and communicates regularly with parents in person and through technology.

Requirements

• Meet one of the following education and experience criteria: a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
• Alternatively, have a bachelor's degree with 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, plus one year of experience with children.
• Alternatively, have an associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, plus two years of experience with children.
• Alternatively, have an associate's degree with 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, plus three years of experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and implement an early childhood educational program in accordance with school policies and The Malvern School philosophy.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
• Communicate regularly with parents, in person and through technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.
