About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring a Lead Toddler Guide (Teacher) for its Williamsburg school in Brooklyn. The role supports a class of two-year-old children in a Montessori environment. The guide prepares an orderly, engaging classroom that encourages exploration, learning, and independence, and provides individualized support through one-to-one and small-group lessons. Guides demonstrate how to use materials and carry out activities, while giving children language to understand their experiences. The prepared environment and individualized support help children build skills, confidence, and independence. Classrooms are equipped with Montessori materials for the infant/toddler curriculum, with a budget for guides to personalize their spaces. The toddler environment includes open space, child-sized furnishings, practical-life curriculum, materials for developing motor skills, natural light and plants, and opportunities for safe movement and exploration. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-quality Montessori program and join a collaborative school community. Guidepost Montessori is a network of 100 schools across the U.S. and Asia serving children ages 0–12.
