About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring a Lead Toddler Guide (Teacher) at its Williamsburg school in Brooklyn. The role supports a classroom of two-year-old children in a Montessori environment designed to foster independence, exploration, and development. Guides prepare an orderly, engaging classroom and provide individualized support, working with children one-on-one and in small groups to demonstrate activities, introduce materials, and provide language for their experiences. The prepared environment gives children the freedom to explore and work with materials at their own pace while building skills, confidence, and independence. The classroom includes high-quality Montessori materials for the infant/toddler curriculum, with a budget for guides to personalize the space. The environment features open space, child-sized furniture and objects, materials for developing fine and gross motor skills, natural materials, and opportunities for movement and exploration. Curriculum supports independence in activities such as dressing, feeding, and toilet learning. Guidepost Montessori is a network of 100 schools across the U.S. and Asia serving children ages 0–12. The organization’s mission is to transform education around the belief that children are capable and to help children achieve their development and reach their potential. Guidepost Global Education and Guidepost Montessori are committed to equal employment opportunity and reasonable accommodation for employees and applicants with disabilities or special needs.
