Title Examiner Abstractor
About The Position
Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company, one of the fastest-growing land management and acquisition agencies in the country, is currently accepting applications for experienced Title Examiner/Abstractors in Texas. This role involves researching public records and examining titles to determine the legal condition of property titles. The position requires compiling and preparing chains of title, and making abstracts of title with summaries of all matters and instruments of record. The Title Examiner Abstractor will interpret various legal documents impacting property ownership and complete title acquisition packages and title commitments. A key responsibility is identifying possible title defects and preparing title-related correspondence, opinion letters, title evidence, and prior policies.
Requirements
- Knowledge of researching public records
- Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, flow chart software, and deed plotting software
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Self-discipline and motivation to perform tasks independently
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
- Ability to travel throughout the state to various courthouses
- 2+ years of title experience
- Experience completing complex mineral title

- Mineral experience a plus
- Real Estate License a plus

Responsibilities
