About The Position

Lithia & Driveway is seeking a Title and Registration team member for its Dealership Accounting team in Torrance, California. This in-person role processes vehicle purchase and sale paperwork, checks documentation for accuracy, and submits required documents to government agencies to complete transactions. The position also researches and resolves title and registration issues, communicates with customers and government personnel when needed, and follows up with dealership personnel on corrections. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The target compensation range is $25.00–$27.00 per hour, with final pay based on relevant factors and determined through the interview process.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A year or more of experience working at a vehicle dealership and/or processing vehicle title, registration, or DMV paperwork is preferred.

• At least one year of vehicle dealership experience and/or experience processing vehicle title, registration, or DMV paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Print, review, and analyze inbound vehicle-purchase title and registration documents; verify accuracy and submit required paperwork to government agencies.
• Research and resolve assigned vehicle-purchase deals for vehicles on hand without a title after 15 calendar days.
• Print, review, and analyze outbound vehicle-sale contract paperwork; verify accuracy and submit required paperwork to government agencies.
• Research and resolve assigned vehicle-sale deals for sold vehicles without a title after 30 calendar days.
• Work directly with customers when needed to resolve title and registration issues.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Communicate with customers through chat, phone, and CRM/email, and answer questions about purchase paperwork.
• Work directly with government personnel when needed to resolve title and registration issues.
• Follow up with appropriate Lithia & Driveway personnel on issues requiring correction during a purchase or sale.
• Meet company performance standards for accuracy, timeliness, cure rates, and efficiency.
• Perform additional work and tasks as needed.
