About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a full-time Tire Technician. The role assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The technician also provides knowledgeable service at the tire desk, supports a safe and positive member experience, and may perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Help members select and purchase tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with the Home Office about member tire needs as needed.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Keep the tire bay and waiting area clean and professional, and merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks in accordance with club policy when certified under DOT requirements.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, equipment-use, and other club policies and procedures.
• Carry out assigned job functions, support club compliance, and help maintain a safe, positive, inclusive environment for members and coworkers.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
