Automotive Tire Technician Full Time $1000 Sign On Bonus
About The Position
The Automotive Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and follows tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, maintaining tire bay supplies and equipment, and keeping the tire bay and waiting area clean and professional. The technician may also fill propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements and perform other duties, including work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

- Prior tire installation experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
- Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires; properly install and repair tires.
- Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements.
- Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office about member tire needs as needed.
- Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory and appropriately use special-order tire programs.
- Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
- Follow safety, cleanliness, club, and tire bay policies and procedures; use tire bay equipment properly.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
