About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a full-time Tire Technician to assist members with tire selection and purchase, install and repair tires, complete required tire bay documentation, and maintain tire bay policies and procedures. The role also includes supporting club standards, providing service excellence, maintaining safe and organized work areas, and helping in other departments as needed. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is advertised; eligibility requirements vary by position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift more than 30 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior tire installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for their vehicles.
• Install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing; perform tire repairs as needed.
• Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks in accordance with club policy when certified under DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service at the tire desk and coordinate with the Home Office about member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain accurate supply inventory and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and use tire bay equipment properly.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support daily GOLD Member and Club Standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
