About The Position

The Tire/Service Manager at the Mauston Tire Center is responsible for promoting sales and directing the Tire Center to optimize market share, improve efficiency, achieve the cooperative's mission and goals, and ensure outstanding customer service. This role involves establishing departmental goals, planning, hiring, training, and developing staff. The manager will collaborate with marketing on sales programs, ensure competitive pricing and quality products, manage inventory, and oversee the efficient delivery of services. Key duties include providing excellent customer service, performing repairs and maintenance, inspecting and replacing tires, maintaining accurate records, observing safety procedures, and maintaining the property and equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Tire Repair and maintenance for Residential, Agricultural and Commercial tires.
  • Experience Leading a Team.
  • Have good written and oral communication skills, math, and computer skills.
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism, be adaptable, punctual, dependable.
  • Show initiative and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate departmental goals.
  • Conduct department planning and update meetings regularly.
  • Hire, train, and develop staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Uphold cooperative work policies and stimulate employee growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and implement annual sales and promotion programs.
  • Ensure competitive pricing and high-quality products for customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a system for inventory control with minimal shrinkage.
  • Order parts and monitor stock levels.
  • Ensure efficient and timely delivery of mechanical and tire services.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by effectively communicating needs and solutions.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on customer and company equipment.
  • Inspect tires, assess wear and health, and recommend replacements as needed.
  • Repair punctures, replace valves, and install new tires according to specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of service time and parts used.
  • Observe safety and security procedures.
  • Maintain good repair and appearance of property, facilities, and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
