About The Position

Bruin Waste Management is seeking a reliable and hardworking Tipper/Assistant to support drivers with the safe and efficient collection of residential and commercial waste and recyclables. The position is based in Delta, Colorado, and involves assisting with daily collection routes, operating the truck’s tipper mechanism, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The role requires physical fitness, outdoor work in all weather conditions, dependability, and the ability to work early morning shifts. Previous waste management experience is helpful but not required.

Requirements

• Be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Be able to work early morning shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in waste management is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with daily waste and recycling collection routes.
• Operate the tipper mechanism to empty bins into the truck.
• Return bins neatly to the curb.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety around the truck and work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and the public.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
