About The Position

MACRO Industries, a leading aerospace and defense composites company, is seeking a Tile Cutting Technician for its Huntsville, Alabama location. The successful candidate will cut, shape, and prepare high-precision tile materials. The role involves operating cutting equipment and precision tools, ensuring finished products meet quality standards, maintaining equipment and supplies, and supporting a clean and safe work area. MACRO is a 100% employee-owned company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent precision cutting skills.
• Proficiency in using templates.
• Ability to operate multiple types of hand tools and precision measuring tools.
• Demonstrated ability to use a table saw or wet saw.
• Ability to work well independently and with a team.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours a day.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand company basic drawings, including x/y axis dimensions.
• Set up and operate cutting equipment, saws, and precision measuring tools.
• Ensure materials are used and handled appropriately.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials with precision.
• Control feed rate and material support to reduce chipping and cracking.
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Keep track of supply inventory.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance to ensure cutting tools and machinery are in safe working condition.
• Assist in continuous improvement activities to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
