Cleaning Technician - Carpet, Upholstery & Tile
About The Position
COIT Cleaning & Restoration Services is hiring a dependable, customer-focused Cleaning Technician to provide carpet, upholstery, tile, grout, wood, natural stone, concrete, and other specialty cleaning services. No prior cleaning experience is required; the company provides paid hourly training. After training, compensation is primarily commission-based and tied to individual performance, with earnings varying by performance. Technicians work independently in customers’ homes, assess needs, explain services, answer questions, and recommend additional services when appropriate. The role involves customer interaction, careful movement of small furniture and personal belongings, equipment use and maintenance, completing work orders, and following safety procedures. A team is available by phone for guidance during the day. Company trucks and phones are provided for work following training; trucks must remain at the facility and cannot be taken home. The position is full-time and in person in Bedford Heights, Ohio.
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfort working independently in customers’ homes and interacting with different personalities.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from COIT’s Bedford Heights location.
- Ability to pass applicable background and drug screenings in accordance with company policy.
Nice To Haves
- Cleaning experience is helpful but not required.
- Sales experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clean carpet, upholstery, tile and grout, wood, natural stone, concrete, and other surfaces as trained.
- Assess customer needs, explain services, answer questions, and recommend additional services when appropriate.
- Deliver professional customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Safely handle equipment and move small furniture.
- Maintain equipment and vehicles, complete work orders, and follow safety procedures.
- Work independently while staying connected with the team for support.
