About The Position

The TIG Welder performs precision welding operations using manual TIG, CNC TIG, and Electron Beam (EB) welding equipment. The role supports production by preparing weld joints and parts, completing welding and finishing operations, inspecting equipment, documenting work, and maintaining quality, production, and safety standards. The welder also helps maintain an organized work area, supports Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and assists with other shop duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified to WD-001 or able to obtain certification.
• Ability to pass a reading test.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Knowledge of welding processes and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable using computers for production tracking and documentation.
• Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weld joints according to traveler instructions.
• Perform welding using manual TIG, CNC TIG, and/or EB welding equipment.
• Complete welding operations on a variety of components.
• Prepare parts using belt sanding and other finishing methods.
• Inspect tools and equipment before use.
• Complete required traveler and production documentation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment as required.
• Maintain production, quality, and safety standards.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow company quality, safety, and ethical standards.
• Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Help with other shop duties as needed.
