  • Experience in tube and pipe fabrication, including cutting, facing, precision fit-up, and assembly.
  • Experience working with aerospace alloys, including stainless steel and Inconel.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as calipers, height gauges, and scales, and ability to hold tight tolerances.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute work from engineering drawings.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Outlook, Teams, and web-based manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to bend, lift, climb, and work in tight spaces; able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Schedule flexibility, including ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

  • Experience with borescope weld inspection in open and restricted-access geometries.
  • Successful completion of aerospace-level weld qualifications, including multi-position certifications (1F, 3F, 2G, 3G, 6G) and radiographic (X-ray) acceptance criteria.
  • Welding certification from an accredited program and familiarity with AWS D17.1 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations.
  • Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate metal components to dimension.
  • Perform fit-up, alignment, and tack welding of tubing and components before final welding.
  • Use precision calibrated tools, including micrometers, depth gauges, and calipers.
  • Set up and operate GTAW equipment, adjusting parameters to achieve proper penetration and weld quality.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and weld fluid systems and sub-assembly components.
  • Pass weld tests such as AWS D17.1 qualification tests.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated hardware for conformance to applicable standards and drawings.
  • Document work performed, create non-conformance reports (NCRs) for non-conforming hardware, and support redline incorporation as needed.
  • Escalate quality, fit, or documentation issues to Manufacturing Engineering or Quality as appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and foreign-object-debris-controlled work environment.
