About The Position

The TIG Welder performs precision welding operations using manual TIG, CNC TIG, and Electron Beam (EB) welding equipment. The role prepares weld joints according to traveler instructions, completes welding on a variety of components, and helps ensure parts meet quality and production requirements. The welder also prepares parts using belt sanding and other finishing methods, inspects tools and equipment, completes production documentation, and performs preventative maintenance on welding equipment as required. The position supports production, quality, and safety standards, workplace organization, company quality and ethical standards, Lean initiatives, continuous improvement, and other shop duties as needed. The posting identifies this as a 2nd-shift role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified to WD-001 or able to obtain certification.
• Ability to pass a reading test.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Knowledge of welding processes and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable using computers for production tracking and documentation.
• Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weld joints according to traveler instructions.
• Perform welding using manual TIG, CNC TIG, and/or EB welding equipment.
• Complete welding operations on a variety of components.

• Inspect tools and equipment before use.
• Complete required traveler and production documentation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment as required.

• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow company quality, safety, and ethical standards.
• Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Help with other shop duties as needed.
