About The Position

Aether Aerospace is seeking a full-time, permanent TIG Welder in Hollywood, Maryland. The selected candidate must have a good knowledge and understanding of welding applications and be able to obtain a Secret clearance. The night shift runs from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour shifts).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience as a commercial or aerospace welder.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.
• Knowledge of heat applications and heat absorbents used during welding to prevent part warpage.
• General knowledge of shop practices, including layout, drilling, sawing, and grinding.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds daily.
• Must wear approved personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required.

Nice To Haves

• Current and valid welding certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for schematics and drawings.
• Knowledge of OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools such as Altium for PCB development.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding methods according to project requirements.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, written instructions, and diagrams to complete assigned tasks.
• Create fixturing for production welding environments.
• Possess a current AWS D17.1 certification in aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel.
