About The Position

Aegis has partnered with a clean, modern, and rapidly growing manufacturing facility in Lake Zurich, looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join its fabrication team. This role focuses on precision welding of thin-gauge stainless steel used in high-quality commercial brewing equipment. You’ll also load/unload parts onto a large robotic welding cell, inspect weld quality, and touch up any areas the robot misses. This is a great opportunity for a welder who enjoys hands-on TIG work, wants exposure to robotics, and likes working in a bright, organized, fast-moving shop.

Requirements

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience with strong stainless-steel skills.
• Ability to lay down clean, consistent beads on thin sheet metal.
• Brazing experience (or willingness to learn).
• Reliable, steady work history; strong teamwork and communication

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with welding robots is a plus (no programming needed—just loading & touch-ups).

Responsibilities

• Perform precision TIG welding on thin stainless steel components (primarily 22-gauge).
• Read blueprints and follow weld specs to meet production standards.
• Load/unload parts from a robotic welding machine and fix imperfections as needed.
• Assist with brazing on stainless assemblies.
• Support other departments as needed (flexibility is key).
• Operate forklift/overhead crane for material movement.
