The TIG Welder is responsible for fitting, joining, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.

Requirements

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
Ability to read tape measures and calipers
Forklift operation experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Basic shop math skills, including fraction-to-decimal conversion
Strong attention to quality and accuracy
Ability to adapt to change
Commitment to workplace safety
Reliable attendance

Responsibilities

Perform welding duties using TIG welding equipment
Weld steel components based on layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions
Assist in welding multi-component parts
Operate forklifts, hoists, hand and power tools, slings, grinders, and cutting torches as needed
Inspect and correct welds to meet product specifications
Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings
Cross-train and support additional job functions as needed
Communicate with management regarding assignments, quality concerns, or production issues
Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment
Follow all safety procedures before and during operations
