About The Position

FlexTrades is seeking experienced MIG and TIG Welders for traveling opportunities across the United States. This role involves 3 or 6-month contracts at various manufacturing companies, with flexibility in assignment selection. The work is performed in indoor production environments within industries such as aerospace, medical, HVAC, and pressure vessels (ASME work). This position is ideal for welders comfortable in fast-paced, production-driven settings with consistent hours.

Requirements

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding in production
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols (required)
• Understanding of weld quality standards
• Experience working with different materials
• Ability to produce consistent welds
• Comfortable working in a production environment
• Basic grinding and finishing experience
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs (assistance available if needed)
• Proficient in Blueprint Reading

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols (AWS)
• Follow weld prints and identify layouts
• Meet production and daily output requirements
• Use grinders and hand tools for cleanup and finishing
• Ensure weld quality meets inspection standards
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
