About The Position

Hartzell Aerospace Welding is seeking a skilled TIG Welder specializing in aluminum to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in welding thin aluminum materials with precision, ensuring high-quality and structurally sound welds that meet industry and customer specifications. This role involves high variety, low volume part work, with a requirement for 90% of completed parts to successfully pass inspection. The welder will also be responsible for offering semi-annual process improvement initiatives, following all safety policies, completing necessary documentation, and maintaining general shop housekeeping.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D.
Proven experience as a TIG Welder with a focus on aluminum and the ability to weld on aluminum thickness of .035" to .065".
Successful completion of accredited welding course or equivalent on the job training and 5-10 years high level TIG welding experience.
Willing and able to follow both verbal and written work instructions.
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing job duties.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in fractions as well as decimals.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to use TIG welding machines.
Ability to use belt sanders, hand-held sanders and grinders.
Ability to use powered saws.
Ability to use various hand tools.
Ability to use in process inspection tools such as measuring tapes, radial/digital calipers, height gauges, etc.
