Aluminum Welder

Frazer•Houston, TX

About The Position

Frazer, a builder of emergency medical vehicles, is seeking an Aluminum Welder to join its production team in Houston. The role builds structural frames and box assemblies used in ambulances and mobile healthcare units. Weld quality is critical to the quality and durability of each vehicle. The work includes preparing prints, staging kits, setting up jigs, tack-welding components, and performing MIG welding. Depending on level, welders work in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions and may move from frame production to box assembly, including aligning walls, installing roofs, and welding wheel wells and storage compartments. Welders inspect their work before passing assemblies downstream and, at higher levels, correct fit-up problems, diagnose bowing and warping, coordinate floor issues, and train colleagues. The role also includes accurate time entry, production documentation, and maintaining a clean, 5S-ready work area. Frazer offers $20.00–$35.00 per hour, based on level and commensurate with education, certifications, and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, onsite at 7227 Rampart St., Houston, Texas. No travel is required.
