About The Position

The Aluminum Welder is part of the fabrication team at IFH Group, Inc., a fuel and hydraulic tank producer. This full-time, 100% on-site role in Rock Falls, Illinois, performs precise and strong MIG and TIG weldments using standard fabrication techniques and following required bead sizes and other specifications. The position prioritizes safety and quality, takes and uses accurate measurements, and reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. Insurance benefits are available on the first day of the month following the date of hire.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to perform MIG and TIG welding and produce strong, precise weldments to specifications.
Basic reading, math, and writing skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics and to take and use accurate measurements.
Ability to operate hand and power tools, welding and brazing equipment, torches, and shields.
Professionalism and respectful communication with employees at all organizational levels.
Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures, including safety and code of conduct requirements.
Basic computer skills.
Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or certificate from an accredited academic institution in welding.
Two years of previous work experience with machine or metal fabrication, MIG welding, and/or TIG welding.
A combination of college coursework and relevant work experience.
