About The Position

API Heat Transfer is seeking Aluminum MIG & TIG Welders and S&T Steel MIG & TIG Welders for first shift at its Racine location. The role involves welding aluminum pressure vessels and airtight assemblies using GMAW pulse spray and GTAW, assembling finished products to blueprint specifications, and producing work within tolerance. Employees must follow safe work practices and API’s ISO 9001 quality standards, policies, and procedures. Applicants must complete the company’s culture survey to be considered. Qualified candidates will also be asked to complete a weld test to AWS D1.2, Structural Welding Code—Aluminum. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; the company will not sponsor employment visas for this opening.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in both GTAW and GMAW.
Mechanical aptitude and functional knowledge of hand tools.
Ability to interpret blueprints and measurements.
Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
Completion of the company culture survey is required for consideration.
Qualified candidates must complete a weld test to AWS D1.2, Structural Welding Code—Aluminum.

Responsibilities
