About The Position

Woodward is seeking a TIG Welder 1 to join their team. This role involves performing TIG welding, maintaining equipment, reading blueprints, inspecting work for quality and safety compliance, and following established procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in equipment operation, problem-solving, communication, time management, teamwork, computer use, and blueprint reading, while supporting lean practices, standardized work, continuous improvement, and Woodward’s Core Values. This position requires the use of information subject to ITAR and/or EAR regulations, and all applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain necessary authorizations.

Requirements

Proficient in various welding methods such as MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding.
Identifies and resolves common welding issues using established procedures.
Skilled in operating welding equipment and related machinery safely and effectively.
Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors to support workflow and escalate immediate issues.
Effectively manages time to complete assigned tasks within established schedules.
Follows lean practices such as 5S and waste reduction.
Understands and adheres to standardized work and escalates when it cannot be followed.
Uses basic software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, data entry tools) to complete tasks.
Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and schematics.
Works cooperatively with team members to support overall team objectives and workflow.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain necessary authorizations.
